Hulk Hogan was wrestling into his 90s it seemed.

He was almost 44 when he first turned heal into Hollywood Hogan during bash at the beach in 1996.

I was being sarcastic, but it seemed he was 90 and still at it.

Same here. Vince's' ego became the show every week instead of the actual talent. I'm in the minority but I never liked the Austin McMahon feud.Personally, that's when I lost interest...when Vince McMahon became a front line star and even more when Shane and Stephanie and the mother became visuals.

Yes, the reviled Sheik. I still remember that crazy-eyed face he made as he applied the Camel Clutch and would look from side to side. TBH, I don't think I remember much of Dick the Bruiser.Shack, you forgot that cad and dirty fighter who later teamed up with Bobo Brazil and became a hero. Dick the Bruiser. Don't forget the Sheik. Did you know that the Sheik actually owned Motor City Wrestling?

And then we had the ref, Pat Flanagan, who used his mule kick once in a while when a wrestler was getting out of hand.
…. Lol and then I just saw on a 1996 Monday Night Raw, where Stone Cold Steve Austin says to Vincent McMahon, “ Gorilla Monsoon is just a puppet and everybody knows you’re the one that calls all the shots…… Vince McMahon says “ummm I’m not exactly sure what you’re talking about.” so Vince McMahon was in denial about being the owner in 1996, but then by 1997 after the Montreal Screwob, he just claimed ownership and said “Brett screwed Brett.”
And there we have it. That’s how it went down. Oh my God I can’t believe how important this is for me to finally understand how Vince McMahon went from commentating to owner lol. I grew up on the 80s Jesse The Body Ventura and Vince McMahon doing the colour commentator I never understood how Vince became the owner in the eyes of the public. 1996 it was a slow gradual transition from commentator to owner.
