It doesn't matter who's president, the course will never change.
It's not about AIPAC or Israel going rogue, this is about the U.S.projecting foreign policy in the region. Israel is playing bad cop, and U.S. is struggling to play good cop.
To me this is a precursor to further incursions into the region. That's why they're joined at the hip and U.S. keeps sending money.
U.S. elites would never allow Israel to undermine their world standing unless their interests weren't being served.
Anyway, that's the way it appears to me.

There are people arguing that the Palestinian genocide is an american project, that its the US that wants this to happen.
The US hasn't played good cop since before the GWOT.

It all seems so stupidly old school, its still largely about controlling oil resources when we have cheaper/better alternatives that aren't fucking over the planet. But the US empire is built on trying to out move OPEC and Putin to control oil and therefore the world.

Without oil there is no reason to invade anywhere in the otherwise resource poor middle east.

What Israel is doing to the US standing won't be undone for a long time, though.

It must be Trump's fault...

rump

You think they have much different ideas about ending the illegal occupation and genocide?
Trump isn't interested in conflict...he's a money guy...He'll probably prefer to not give funds to anybody in the Middle East (including israel) for war games....but keep trying...Look who's in charge of the US that should be your answer...

He's already said he'd give more bombs so Netanyahu could 'finish the job' faster.
That's just more death he wants.

Would he spend more than $1000 to kill each person in Gaza?

Oil to a point, controlling oil is a means to an end. The bigger picture is containing China and even more important is preserving the international financial system that they control and the dollar as reserve currency. China's road and belt initiative and growing diplomatic influence in the Middle East and the South will propel them to another level economically and politically.
That will be the beginning of the end of U.S. monopoly of the financial system, and that will be the end of America as we know it.

I've repeatedly said that's not my view and still you repeat it.
How many Israelis do you feel are Zionist? This is simply your opinion. It does not have to be accurate at all. What does your sense tell you?

I believe that you feel it is 100%. If you feel my estimate is wrong, please tell us the estimate that you believe would be more accurate? Until you can provide a number, the number 100% stands.

Bingo. Israel is the best ally that the US has in the region.
