No. During the pandemic a lot of people were off work not producing and governments fairly enough through butt tons of cash at people to compensate for staying home [even the ones who didn'tI know most of you were only 10 years old when you last had a McDonald's hamburger, but you do remember that they were only 99 cents, and even in 2018 I only paid 99 cents for them. Then the pandemic doubled the price, and I was disgruntled about that, but I understood the situation and accepted it. Well, now pre-pandemic prices should be back, right? Well, I went to McDonald's today and ordered 4 hamburgers, and they charged me over $12! Yes, instead of dropping back, the price got raised again, to a whole whopping $3 per hamburger! Someone please tell me I'm just dreaming here!
That money seems to have finally mostly sloshed through the system [at least according to The Economist, my fav adult magazine] but that money is still there. So prices will stick at the new high.
