I miss the days where the loser guy would get the crap beat out of him to showcase the talents of the superstar. There was good loser guys (Leaping Lanny Pofo), and bad loser guys (Canada’s greatest athlete Iron Mile Sharp) and you would only get to see superstars battle, if you would watch like Saturday Nights Main Event.

Abdullah the Butcher took a lot of punishment. He currently owns a fried chicken/Chinese food restaurant in Atlanta called Abdullah's.

Apparently they told the kid he was going to get the money anyway but he forgot so that expression on his face was real.

The pure evil of the move though.

oh wow lol. I love the bad guy party after hahaha. Or Vince McMahon when Hogan was in a pile driver position. “NO NO NOOOO.”

I remember this all too well. And this led up to the Big Event at Exhibition Stadium. I remember this time, and middle America‘s obsession with Hulkamania. Ahhh the 80’s. More than just some kick ass music.

Don't mean to be Mr Know it all...but...Mario Mancini was not Brutus the Barber.

lol I meant Brutus Beefcake before he was The Barber: I think you’re joking though.

....speaking of these losers that would get the shit kicked out of them, why was Leeping Lanny so bad? he had the poetry, he had the winning look, he was macho man’s brother.etc etc

Ya...Mario Mancini was neither Brutus Beefcake or Brutus the Barber....many of those "TV Losers" including Lanny Poffa were championship wrestlers in other organizations before they became WWF wrestlers.

Mario Mancini is fighting Brutus Beefcake in that clip. I’m talking about those loser guys in a whole other context.

It's interesting to look back at clips of jobbers in the 80's & 90's. Must have been a thankless role knowing you're going to be humiliated in front of thousands and only making a fraction of what the guy who just beat the shit out of you made.

There's tiers of jobbers. You have perpetual jobbers like Mancini. There's jobbers with slight push like Steve Lombardi/Brooklyn Brawler. And you got jobbers who became midcarders like Sean Waltman/123 Kid/NWO and Paul Roma who got to be a horseman (what the fuck was WCW thinking!)
