Loved in the beaches as a school kid went to Kew Beach School, Lakeshore Blvd. ended at Coxwell Ave. and east of that was a wooded area called the Cut. Balmy Beach was great and hed Lacrosse Baseball and Soccer. Queen St. ended at Falling Brook Ave, and the corner lot which was fenced in was owned by the Seagram family. To bad my father sold our beautiful house on Kenilworth Ave. and bought a home in Cabbagetown. LOL
Does anyone remember Steak and Burger next to the old Uptown Theater? I swear Five Guys stole their recipe for burgers.
Not fond of TD Center, it's ugly but very powerful. J.P Morgan-Chase have their Canadian home office there.
Surprised Diefenbaker did not attend.Canadians held Italian immigrants in disdain, they called us wops and greaseballs...that changed on March 17 1960.Then education minister John Robarts attended the funeral of the 5 fallen tunnel workers at Hogg's Hollow, John Diefenbaker did not.

No, but does anyone recall the New London Restaurant on Queen and Mccaul, also Bassells Restaurant on Yonge and Gerrard which may still exist. It was near to the Zanzibar strip club and the Brass Rail Tavern which was a classy place.Does anyone happen to have any photos or memories of either of these two restaurants:
--Ted's Coffee Shop at Mount Pleasant and Eglinton in the late 60's/early 70's.
--Bayfront Restaurant at Bay and Front in the 60's and 70's.
Thanks.

You do realize that all those electric streetcars on Bloor were removed when the Bloor subway line opened right?Bad move to get rid of those electric streetcars, just saying...
