As far as I know it was harvesting various forms of "location data".

Where did you read about videos, and text? Harvesting videos would involve quite the amount of data use that (savvy) users would have noticed.

Been using that app since it came out - wasn't aware of the farming issues though.

I read in a newspaper 6 months after it came out or they phased out the cards.

From the cell...

Before install -
Before download go to section...
"Data Safety"..
at the bottom you will see ...
Manage app data.

See yellow highlighted at bottom.

Oddly enough it doesn’t mention “location data” and that’s what they were found guilty of. If they were harvesting videos, very odd we didn’t hear anything about excessive bandwidth use by users. Unless app penetration was too low to matter.

I think it did about "location data" but further up the page. the page was 3 screens long.
It needs this to notify the location of the place you going to pick up.

You can see it again just by searching about it on the Google play store.

This TH app is a joke. They claim in the Google play store you can request to remove certain things from them like farming info. Emailed them for a request and no reply at all.
Go to a Timm's place close to work and they don't redeem points at all, but issued the points. But they did at the beginning do both , since it was own by a local guy. Now it is own by a foreigner. I am know it is a store decision according to the TOS.

I tried using the app at a different store and they honor the points but only to what the app allows, and only one item at a time or per sale.

TO bad you can't pass off the points to someone else.

But I think there is a way I been looking at the TOS.

GTA & Thereabouts...
I typically gather 30,000+ points and then start the redeem... No issues on my end. Wife wants me to stop going for my health now though due to the salt content in their food.

I read in the Globe and Mail that the egg & cheese breakfast bagel is not too high in sodium for fast food. I have the 12 grain bagel. Maybe they have a lower salt content bagel. I don't know.

Just found this article. Did not know you change the menu to real chedder.

Perhaps... But fight it. I never went to the doctor and perhaps I discovered it too late. Go to your doctor.

My only vices are Tim Hortons, Beer and SPs.
Have a lot in common. I love beer and generally avoid the doctor also except to renew anti balding(finasteride)medication.
Not sure how old you are. I wlll be 59 next month.

Almost 46. My brother is nearing 50. I text him a few times per year... By looks, he's way fitter than me, doesn't drink at all but has the BP issues + Diabetes and Cholesterol issues. I'm golden on those last two. He was startled.
