Vancouver’s Sky ECC promised privacy to customers with its encrypted cellphones, which were a hit with the criminal underworld, arms dealers and drug traffickers. But after police cracked the code and unlocked thousands of messages between criminals, the phones became the target of an international police sting. Police watched as criminals freely sent each other text messages and pictures of piles of money, drugs, weapons and even kidnappings.

Yeah well it seems Canada didn't go after them at all after many request by other polices in different countries.
