Tommy Boy Cruise is the greatest actor in the known universe. You've gotta love how he takes historical events and subverts them into vanity projects. In The Last Samurai he plays a Polka Dot Door samurai, making himself look manly and invincible. In the actual story, samurai made a last stand against the new Japanese Army and got slaughtered, no Americans were involved. Then there's American Made in which he plays Barry Seal as a manly, invincible family man. In the real story, Barry Seal got his head chopped off by executioners working for El Chapo. Joaquin Guzman found out he was a CIA operative and ordered his whacking.

In better news, Riz Ahmed is following up Venom with something truly promising.

She's a new Century baby that's building an impressive resume. She was in The Beguiled remake, she was great as Rusty's daughter in The Nice Guys and even better in Black Mirror.
