Black people are way too excitable in a bizarrely funny way esp in the US

For a good laugh check out a lower class store next time you are in the US (Walmart is a great one)

Nice job bringing racism into the thread about racism.

Is it optimistic? Is the inability of us to comprehend such a future resultant of current social stigmas being so strong that we can't imagine anything else? That would be a result of the reality we exist in. Our children will live in a different reality, especially if we guide them properly and responsibly to facilitate the dissolvement of these stigmas. If we can do that then the future is wide open, I believe the biggest hurdle for change? is limiting our hopes for the future based on current beliefs, instead of hoping for the future we build a future filled with hope that gives us the space for optimism and growth, without that you may well be right.

It's experience as a kid where social groupings and power were dependent on anything. I remember the 'gangs' we had in grade 3 or 4. We hated each other, just based on which part of the playground we hung around at recess. And pretty much everyone at that school was white, Christian, and at least middle class. Damn glad I left that environment after grade 6 for somewhere much more diverse.

LOL - of course.

why would you even ask such a thing?

Some people like to believe that there can't be racism against those in "power".

BUT the perception that whites are in "power" in every enclave of the world is foolhardy.

I ask the question because not everyone has the same opinion and I am interested in everyone's perspectives, what may seem obvious to you could be completely counter-intuitive to someone else. I find the social tapestry that results is far more interesting than any one thread ( no pun intended ) The person I spoke with that lead to my question had some interesting perspectives, no less interesting than yours, so here we are.

black males are the only ones that cannot be racist. we are the most stereotyped, the most marginalize and the only people condemned for their sexuality

Racism where someone is mean to you is one thing. The one that restricts or denies your access to basic human rights, and dehumanises you, is quite another.

Can a man experience sexism. Sure, but in a widespread sense, I'm pretty sure many men wouldn't wish to switch places with women.

You don't have to go to China to experience racism against "gweilos" (white people), just go to any of the cash only eateries in Markham. Haven't yet been to any of the dim sum places there without my buddy Bun Jiao Jai.

Your buddy's name is "little dick boy"?

If you lived through the Quebec separation movement then you would have been discriminated on just for speaking English whether you were black, white, purple or green. Toronto is the beneficiary of all the head offices that were chased out of Montreal by the separatist.

Send in your donations to :
The erect a statue of Rene Levesque fund.

I remember that quite well having lived in Montreal during those years.

"Opinion" ??

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

Absolutely!

When I was with my ex, who is black, I once got the most horrible look from some random black woman while walking together downtown. I asked him what that was about and he explained that she was angry to see a white woman with a black man, plain and simple. He did warn me when we first started to date that we'd experience racism from both sides of the fence.
