It’s almost like no one in charge of this stupid policy cares about any consequences beyond blatant populist politics. What could possibly go wrong??
If you are driving home, buying beer at a convenience store to save 5-10 minutes is at least arguably convenient and most people are near home.
Enticing people to buy beer on a major highway, when they are typically on a longer period drive and nowhere near home is a big problem waiting to happen.
Government should have some responsibility to weigh common sense against some of their populist decisions.
